Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this rear view safety G-Series backup camera system with the auto dimming and OnStar features. Now for a backup camera system, which will fit almost any vehicle and is virtually invisible, then you have to look no further than this G-Series camera system. This system features a G-Series monitor and the very small 776 camera, which despite its small size, is powerfully built to withstand all weather conditions. Now this kit will include everything laid out here on the table. We'll go through all the pieces, pretty much, but it'll come with this replacement mirror monitor, has a 4.3 display that'll pop up on there.
Offers auto dimming and OnStar. Comes with this compact waterproof color backup camera with night vision. You'll get 33 feet camera cable. You'll get your double RCA and power converter to connect your external audio, video and power. Comes with this OnStar adapter, has a nice remote control to control it, cord protector and they even give you a little booklet that'll describe how this all goes together and how it operates.
Now the camera right here, this'll offer very compact design. It's about less than an inch in length, width, and depth, has 170 degree viewing angle and night vision, and it is IP68 rated for protection against complete submersion in water. The monitor, which will be on this mirror here, that's a G-Series mirror monitor. This will completely replace your rear view mirror, installs to the factory mirror mount. It does use a double ball joint.
There's a ball joint here and one right here, and that double ball joint lets you adjust the mirror monitor in any position. The entire surface on this mirror is an ultra reflective mirror, and the display which would pop up on here, is a 4.3 LCD digital display. And that comes on when the backup camera is triggered. The size on this mirror, the width of it is about 10 1/2 inches wide, and at the highest point is about 3 1/2 inches tall. Now in addition to providing a display for your backup camera, this mirror monitor also comes with your auto dimming and OnStar.
Now the auto dimming, this will automatically reduce distracting headlight glare. There's two sensors. There's one right there, and then there's one right back here. The one on the front right here, this reduces distracting headlight glare. And then the one on the rear right here, this will detect any ambient light. Now also with this being OnStar compatible, the mirror monitor will allow you to continue to enjoy all the OnStar functions of your mirror, even after replacing your rear view mirror. Now, one note I do wanna mention, this monitor does not come with OnStar, rather, it's OnStar compatible. It's not gonna give you OnStar functions if your vehicle doesn't already have them, but it will allow you to keep the OnStar functions if your vehicle has 'em. But that should do it for the review on this rear view safety G-Series backup camera system with the auto dimming and OnStar capability.
