This will be the second in a series of videos focused on enhancing the local contrast in black-and-white darkroom prints.

The most puzzling part about black and white printing for many is judging contrast and getting the right contrast out of your prints. This series aims to give some guidance and direction to that perplexing challenge.

The videos will also be a walk-through of my approach to a recent "problem" negative of the Arch in St. Louis. I am in the middle of exploring and making a print from this unusual negative and it has a lot to teach... So come along for the ride!

Part two is about taking advantage of variable contrast darkroom paper to print with different contrast levels on different parts of the image.
