(25 Aug 1995) The United Nations announced Friday (25/8) that it was pulling
out its last British peacekeepers from the eastern Bosnian enclave
of Gorazde after they were attacked by renegade Bosnian army
troops overnight. UN spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Chris Vernon said.
Describing the attack as an "act of banditry," UN Spokesman
Alexander Ivanko said the United Nations will lodge a protest with
the Bosnian government in Sarajevo.
