My first drone meet with other members of the GADC in Derby on 21 July 2024. Jerry is a dji AVATA drone with FPV-2 goggles and is really fun to fly if you have enough space and a spotter! My spotter was sitting next to me and was keeping an eye on proceedings as per the Drone Code.
The motion controller is the motion sensitive stick type provided with the kit. I am still getting used to operating this and so sometimes my movements see jerky and a bit wild but I was able to maintain control and get Jerry through both sets of hoops.
The music is a bit random (I know!) and was produced by myself using loops from Apple Logic Pro on a setup that’s 15 years old, accompanied by a Moog Theremini (midi enabled Theremin) and some keyboard notes. The picture also shows a streb e-Melodeon that will be used for the next video featuring Dreenagh the dji Mini 4 Pro.
