Testing used microphones is imperative when you go to buy a used microphone. Provided that the mic you're testing uses a standard connector or comes with the right cable, testing shouldn't be a big deal but if you don't, you may be at a loss. It's not likely you'll want to drop $60 on a connector to make your own test cable or buy a cable to test a microphone with. In this video I'll show you how to make a cable to test vintage microphones with.
DISCLAIMER:
DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR TEST CABLE OR WHAT YOU TEST WITH IT.
WARNING: Do not use on ribbon microphones or microphones with it's own separate power supply.
