The World Climate Conference in Glasgow (COP26) from October 31 to November 12, 2021, is considered an important milestone in climate policy. It may be our last chance to meet the targets of the 2015 Paris Agreement.
The focus is on limiting global warming to below 1.5 degrees by the end of the century.
However, the conference is about more than climate, environmental and biodiversity protection. Man-made climate change is also one of the greatest risks to security in the 21st century. That is why Germany, together with its partners, is committed to advancing the implementation of the Paris Agreement throughout the world.
