In 2008, four year old Sara Martorano was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms Tumor (also known as nephroblastoma). She is nearly eight years cancer free thanks to advancements in childhood cancer research.

To date, the Martorano family has raised more than $560,000 in Sara's honor including a consortium grant for the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group Task Force (today, known as the INRG Data Commons).
