This is a review of the Fluke 54 Series 2B Thermometer. The series IIB replaced the original Fluke 54 thermometer.
This review is also largely applicable to the Fluke 51, Fluke 52, and Fluke 53 (both the Series 2 and the original).
Int he review I discuss the basic meter, it's functions including Min (Minimum), Max (Maximum), Avg (Average), temperature scales Celsius (C), Fahrenheit (F) and Kelvin (K), the types of thermocouples which can be used with this meter, the logging/memory/recall, and the use of the primary and secondary display.
I also demonstrate the setup, timestamps, and the use of the logging function (stepping though go entries, the min/max/avg of log entries as well as changing the temperature units) using a thermocouple to measure the temperature rise of a hot air station.
