Goa Christmas Horror: One Killed as Boat Capsizes Off Calangute Beach | Vantage with Palki Sharma

At least one person was killed and nearly 20 others were injured as an overloaded tourist boat capsized off the shore of Calangute beach in North Goa, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024. The police said the boat capsized due to an engine malfunction, nearly 60 metres off the shore, throwing the passengers into the rough sea. Around 18 lifeguards present nearby rushed to the capsized boat, and rescued around 20 passengers aged between six and 65 years. A 54-year-old man was found floating in the sea, and was declared dead upon arrival by the hospital.
