Maruti Wagon R Variants: Maruti Suzuki sells the Wagon R via its Arena chain of showrooms across the country. It is offered in three variants: base-spec L, mid-spec V, and top-spec Z. Maruti offers only the base-spec L and mid-spec V variants with the BS6 1.0-litre petrol engine, while only the mid-spec V and top-spec Z variants are available with the BS6 1.2-litre petrol motor. It also offers the BS6 1.0-litre powered L variants of the Wagon R with a CNG kit.

Maruti Wagon R Prices: The Wagon R is priced in the range of Rs 4.45 lakh to Rs 5.94 lakh. Maruti has priced the L and L(O) variants with the CNG kit at Rs 5.25 lakh and Rs 5.32 lakh respectively. On the other hand, the BS6 1.0-litre powered V and V(O) variants with the AMT gearbox are priced at Rs 5.37 lakh and Rs 5.44 lakh respectively. The BS6 1.2-litre powered V, V(O), and Z (top-spec) variants with the AMT gearbox are priced at Rs 5.60 lakh, Rs 5.67 lakh and Rs 5.94 lakh respectively (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

Maruti Wagon R Engine, Transmission and Mileage: Maruti offers the Wagon R with two BS6 engines: a 1.0-litre petrol and a 1.2-litre unit. The 1.2-litre engine produces 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque while the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine is good for 68PS and 90Nm. Both engines are offered with the choice of 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The new Wagon R is also offered in a CNG variant with the BS6 1.0-litre engine. Its output figures stand at 60PS and 78Nm. The claimed fuel efficiency figures are as follows:

1.0-litre MT/AMT- 21.79kmpl

1.0-litre CNG- 32.52km/kg

1.2-litre MT/AMT- 20.52kmpl

Maruti Wagon R Features: The Wagon R features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual AC, all four power windows, keyless entry, and steering-mounted audio and calling controls.

Maruti Wagon R Safety: Standard safety features include a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

Maruti Wagon R Rivals: The Wagon R rivals the likes of the Hyundai Santro, Tata Tiago, Datsun GO, and the Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
