The Coalition has pledged to reopen Australia’s embassy in the Ukrainian capital “as soon as possible”.
Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Birmingham is meeting local officials in Kyiv this week.
Australia’s embassy in Kyiv closed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Around 70 countries have reopened their embassies, and Mr Birmingham claims Labor is making Australia an “international outlier” by leaving it closed.
