In todays video i taste, review and rate the Millstone 100 rye whisky.
It cost around 600 dkr for 70 cl and it is 50 % alc.
Rye whisky is mostly made in north America, but the dutch family destillery Zuidam, has made this whisky rye whisky.
The name, 100, i kind of a theme in this whisky.
100 % rye, 100 % destilled in pot stilles, 100 % aged in freshly new american oak casks, 100 % handmade, 100 % natural ingridiense, 100 proof = 50 % alc and it has aged for 100 months (i little more then 8 years).
There is no sponsored content in this video and as always everthing on this channel is just my opinion.
The nose is smooth with moldy, earthly sweetnes, vanila and sweetnes from the american oak, almonds, marzipan and there is a parfume note in the back.
The palate is a little sharp with with moldy, earthly sweetnes, vanila and sweetnes from the american oak.
The finish is complex and oily with sweet amircan oak, almonds and marzipan.
I rate it 8,5 out of 10...
