The Super Mario Bros. Movie from Nintendo and Illumination will have a story not directly related to the video games. In a new Nintendo Financial Report, Shigeru Miyamoto talks about bringing The Super Mario Bros. Movie to life, and how it tackles the challenges of video game movies.

Video game movies don't have the best reputation, especially with the original live-action Super Mario Bros. movie from the 90s being a solid example. However, from Sonic The Hedgehog to Detective Pikachu, things have been getting better in the past few years! Will The Super Mario Bros. Movie follow this positive trend?
