A visit to the traditional Fijian village of Navala should be on every tourists list of "must do's" while on Viti Levu. This trip is most suitable during the dry season, the roads become tricky if not impassable with a standard saloon car during the wet season (summer).

The drive from Lautoka to Ba is lovely scenery, quiet villages and rolling countryside, giving you views over the ocean to the Yasawa islands.

From Ba, you turn inland, and up into the hills, which is where the road turns to gravel, and becomes very rough. Travel times are approximately 50-60 minutes from Lautoka to Ba, and the same again from Ba to Navula.
