Diversity and Inclusion is now a standard to be met in all areas of health care. Orthopaedic surgery has traditionally been dominated by men and even now there is reluctance by women to embrace this speciality. To discuss the topic and breaking down the barriers, we welcome Deborah Eastwood, the current BOA president and Orla Hennessy, a trainee and winner of the Core Trainee Prize 2021 for her essay “A Woman Like Me”.
