My performance of The Address to a Haggis by Robert Burns. It might not be perfect, it has been a long time since I performed it but it is truly my rendition. I am being purposefully broad Scots in the delivery to really emphasise the words and passion.
BACKGROUND STORY
I loved reading Burns at school but being heavily dyslexic, trying to express my thoughts on pieces like this through writing, ultimately led me to failing my English Higher grade. Drama and performance always resonated with me and I think it really helps me understand the piece better than words ever could. It is a shame most assessments in School are based on what you can put on a page, rather than expressing through our true talents and passions.
