It all started when I was really young. I've always had issues with my teeth, and my diet didn't help once I became a teenager. By the time I was like 20, I just started having one to two to three pulled out at a time and little by little I only, I ended up with just like 13 teeth and the best route to go at that time was dentures.

My dentures just weren't sharp enough to eat their food. Every time I took a bite. I couldn't even eat a sandwich. I'd have to go and have it all cut up and and put in a bowl or something. I honestly didn't think that anybody would be able to help me. It was my husband that really wanted me to see somebody else. So, I just did it for basically his sake, you know. I was hoping, but I had no idea that the doctor that I saw would be able to help me.

She came in under the assumption that there would be no hope she just wanted us to evaluate if we could remake a denture. When we explained to her that there is hope, and that there is a way to anchor down her dentures. Remove the extra plastic. Let her be able to function and smile and taste food. She didn't necessarily believe us.

Dr. Clark told me that we can go ahead and give it a try, and I thought I was like dreaming or something. I didn't really, II just kind of looked at him like, did you look at the right X-rays? I mean are you sure it was me. Because, I hadn't heard anything like that in years.

We talked with her at length. We used our technology to be able to show her visually. And in the end she decided to take the leap of faith that we could help her. And I'm happy to report we did. We were able to place implants. We were able to secure a fixed bridge to her jaw. She walked out of our office that day, smiling. Her husband reported, he couldn't remember when the last time she smiled was. Those kinds of things right there are priceless. This is why we do what we do.

The thing is, is not only is he helping me smile and helping me be able to eat better, and you know all that, but it's also helping my family in the same sense. So, I'm very, very grateful and it's hard to find words to describe that. When my husband saw me the first time he had a really big smile on his face and he just kept looking at me and looking at me. So yeah, you smiled more than I did. So I don't know, I guess it's a huge thanks, huge. It's been a journey. A good one.
