Hello, I'm Becky Roloff and have the honor of serving as the president of St. Catherine University and I'm also an
alum of St. Catherine University. Social Work to me is one of the last professions that I would say has boots on the ground that really can change the trajectory of a life.

Within the Master of Social Work program we prepare students for clinical social work practice. We seek to equip our students to work deeply with clients to facilitate the healing and empowerment of clients. We hope that our students can really engage in leadership for change in the systems to affect our clients and many others for years to come.

One of the things we're very proud about is we have a collection of faculty that are very engaged in the practice community as well as engaged in the community at large. We provide a variety of opportunities for students and faculty to work together.

We have a wide range of exemplary field placements. We have a number of alumni who are out there practicing, making change, having an impact, and they're very invested in the profession and in the students that are coming along behind them.

We invite practitioners here to campus to talk about essential and emerging issues. And this is really part of our role in our MSW program of thinking how we can impact our profession, our practice, the effectiveness of our practice across populations.

Through various programs and initiatives we are striving to respond to workforce development needs in our state to serve underserved populations. Our students are engaged in advocacy efforts to address needs that are important to clinical social work and those we serve.

All this together, within our framework of the critically reflective clinical social worker, allows students to understand the system in which we all exist in order to make a difference and we're excited to have you join us.
