New Hope Weather Observer Steve Reckers says this week’s snowfall will push the northwest suburbs closer toward a record-breaking winter. “I think we'll break it this year because we've got a good part of March yet to go with some forecasted this week and then a couple more weeks after that before the month is over and then we typically get snow in April,” said Reckers, who records data for the National Weather Service. Reckers says the snowfall could help alleviate the drought.
