Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin has the latest on the newly-formed Tropical Storm Mindy, which will pose no threat to Louisiana. The storm is expected to make landfall near the Florida Panhandle.
Mindy
The system south of the Louisiana coast showed signs of organizing on Wednesday and was named Tropical Storm Mindy late Wednesday afternoon.
A trough of low pressure will keep it swirling toward Florida's big bend area. It is then expected to cross over Florida and emerge in the Atlantic in a couple of days.
Larry
A slowly weakening Larry could impact Bermuda with strong winds as it travels east of the island. Strong wind could also impact the Canadian Maritimes by Friday and the weekend as it transitions to an extra-tropical system.
