This trip almost didn’t happen due to uncooperative weather, but I spotted a brief window of clear skies between the rain and snow that allowed me to tackle the Northover Ridge—an epic journey I’ve always dreamed of doing. Despite the mix of rain, wind, and snow, the trail exceeded my expectations. The buzz surrounding Northover Ridge is well-deserved, with its stunning sub-alpine and alpine views stretching as far as the eye can see!

Sadly, I had to leave my dog Ginny at home since the trail isn't suitable for dogs, making this a truly solo adventure. The challenging autumn weather kept most hikers away, so I essentially had the entire trail to myself.
