In this video Marcus looks at how BS 7671 deals with airing cupboards in bathrooms. Marcus explains how the electrical content of an airing cupboard with a door on it falls outside of the special location that is the bathroom. However if the airing cupboard door opens out into either zone 1 or 2 of a bathroom then equipment inside the airing cupboard requires additional protection by an RCD rated at no greater than 30 mA.
