Some of them begin at over 6,000 ft in elevation and some finish at the Charleston Peak that has 11,916 ft. One of our favorite trails is the Mary Jane Falls is a 3.2 miles round trip hike. The reward of the steep hiking will be the cooler temperature mixed with fresh breeze, the marvelous visit of friendly chipmunks playing around the fantastic natural waterfall that delights everyone. Other fun activities in Mount Charleston are: bike-riding, horseback riding, concerts, dining, walking and if you are a nature lover you will be delighted to know that you can spend a few days either at Mt Charleston Lodge & Cabins or at the Retreat on Charleston Peak.
