The Brussels suburb of Schaerbeek was on lock down on Friday morning as police searched an apartment as part of an investigation into Tuesday's suicide bomb attacks in the Belgian capital.
Residents were not allowed access to their homes as the police conducted their search.
Earlier Belgian police arrested six people as part of their investigation into the bomb attacks.
Tuesday's attacks at Brussels airport and a metro train, killed at least 31 people and wounding around 270 more in the worst such attack in the country's history.
