In this second video of my 3-part-series, I try to give a comprehensive analysis of Sunday Obligation and the SSPX according to the (now dissolved) Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei.
It is in response to the arguments brought up by Mr. Salza in a video he did with The Logos Project. He claims that the church/the PCED has been consistent when it comes to mass attendance and sunday obligation at an SSPX Chapel, in the sense that you cannot fulfill your Sunday obligation there. He cites various documents by the PCED to prove his claim, but as we will see he left out a very important one (from 2008) as well as added non-existing context or leaving out relevant context.
I picked every document by the PCED that talked about Sunday obligation explicitly, as well as one additional document which is in my opinion important for a thorough analysis of this issue. My goal was to show that Mr. Salza is wrong when he says that there is a clear consistence on the part of the PCED (dealing with Sunday obligation), as well present arguments that it actually is much more reasonable to come to conclusion that the PCED is of the opinion that you can fulfill your Sunday obligation at an SSPX chapel. This is also supported by testimony of Fr. Z.
