As Mental Health Awareness month ends, please remember that mental health matters all year long.
Taking care of ourselves and each other is vital!
Within USAREC, there are numerous resources to help promote wellness.
- The Leader Engagement Tool (LET)
- USAREC’s Wellness Workshops
People who can link you up with resources in your area:
- Brigade Behavioral Health Consultant
- Brigade Nurse Case Manager
- Your chaplain
- Your Soldier Family Assistance (SFA) provider
They are your teammates and there to support you! Use them!
Please be on the lookout for signs of stress and burnout in yourselves and each other. If you or someone you know needs immediate assistance or is experiencing thoughts of suicide or a mental health crisis, call or text 988 for 24/7 confidential support. 988 is the three-digit code in the US that routes callers to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which provides direct connection to free, confidential, and compassionate support.
Also, a shout out to all our Asian American and Pacific Islanders in recognition of AAPI month! AAPI have served honorably in the US Military since the War of 1812 and continue to serve today. Thank you for your service to our nation; it is truly my honor to serve alongside you!
