I reused an old laptop charger that could output 19V @ 1.6A into a DIY variable voltage bench/desk power supply using a LM2596 step down voltage converter. This is one of the cheapest ways to make a cheap power supply, coming in at just about $4 for all the parts! Watch the video to see how I made it.
