1960, a magical year in the history of Rock N Roll and certainly for the Fender Stratocaster as well. About one year in and just getting comfortable with that new rosewood neck, the Stratocaster would forever change the world of music. This piece really hit the nail on the head with its attention to historical detail while being immensely easy and fun to play. We cannot stress how absolutely fun this piece is to play on that note as well.
The neck is...perfect. If you are into a fantastic oval "C" than look no further. This girl handles that note!
And the tone...oh the tone. The Hand Wound Texas Specials are something magical here. We haven't heard Texas Specials that have sounded this good in ages (well except for the shell pink one we just received as well...oh my). The tone really is spectacular. The normally accentuated midrange of the Texas Specials gives way to a more balanced and authentic tone here. From balls to the wall blues to classic rock, this one has it. It's also a stunner with the super fades three tone sunburst. Baxter approves thoroughly of this piece!
