There are tonnes of different types of mezze out there and each of them are delicious!
Heres a select few that I made for this platter.
Each dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Cacik (cucumber & yoghurt dip)
-1/2 cucumber
-1 clove garlic
-1 tbsp fresh dill
-1/4tsp salt
-250g plain yoghurt
Muhammara (roasted red pepper dip - usually has walnuts but I left them out)
-3 red bell peppers
-4 cloves garlic
-6 cherry tomatoes
-2 tbsp olive oil
-1/2tsp salt
-1/4tsp black pepper
-1/4 tsp oregano
Preheat oven to 200c fan / 220c no fan / gas mark 7 and roast veg for 30 mins. Cool, then add:
-handful fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
Hummus (chick pea dip)
-1 can chickpeas
-1 clove garlic
-juice of 1/2 lemon or 2 tbsp bottled lemon juice
-1/4tsp salt
-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
-1 & 1/2 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
-3/4 tbsp water as required
Sigara Boregi (Feta cheese rolls)
-handful fresh parsley
-150g feta cubes
-3 spring onions
-1 egg
-10 sheets filo pastry
-paste made with 1tbsp plain flour and a little water
- vegetable/sunflower oil for frying
