Finally upgraded to a "mechless" or optical-drive less head unit car stereo replacing the old and vintage one in my minivan. I was needing a very basic and very affordable car stereo that has AM/FM radio and can playback FLAC and MP3 files off a USB stick. So I found this one up for sale in Lazada, bought it exactly Php 2,800.00 pesos.
It turns out to be a very high quality head unit despite being categorized as Pioneer's cheap car stereo models. The sound quality is good and very powerful for a 50W RMS MOSFET amplifier for front and rear speakers. It got the features I need, the subwoofer control, subwoofer pre-amp RCA out, basic EQ, radio station memory, and music file playback. I don't need those fancy features like Bluetooth connection, audio streaming, phone call integration, and all those f**ckery. LOL.
I like its compact and short form, I won't have to cram all the wiring behind it on the dash. It is pretty lightweight too. The led lights are pretty opaque even on a very bright day. And I like the red and white color combination theme.
