With the Bhabanipur assembly bypoll nearing, the campaign in the South Kolkata constituency hit fever pitch on Monday after BJP workers alleged party leader Dilip Ghosh was attacked during the canvassing. His security personnel were seen pointing their guns in the air to disperse the crowd.
On Monday morning, the BJP had planned an elaborate campaign in the Bhabanipur constituency, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is seeking re-election after she lost out to BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari in the West Bengal assembly elections.
