Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Rain on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 developed and published by Sony.
Released in 2013, Rain is a stylish and haunting puzzle-platformer about a little boy lost in the rain. Sure, it sounds kind of boring, but Rain takes an interesting approach. All we know about the boy is that he's alone—oh, and he's invisible. Unless he's standing in the rain, where the water drops reveal his silhouette, players cannot see the boy at all. All you can make out are his footsteps. This makes even getting around a little tricky, let alone doing the game's platforming and puzzle solving. The little boy finds a girl being chased by monsters, and naturally, he's inclined to save her. But in doing so, he draws the ire of the monsters, which are now chasing him, as well. Players have no real defense, save for their wits. Avoiding the monsters, staying unseen and navigating through this rainy, abandoned city are enough to keep you busy in this beautiful PSN exclusive.
