How much can we learn about a stranger from a single strand of their hair?
Artist Heather Dewey-Hagborg collected hair, chewed-up gum, fingernails, and other genetic artifacts from public places and extracted DNA, which she used to create subjective 3D-printed portraits of strangers. Heather is one of many artists using art and technology to change the world.
