About This Series:
The intent of these four FlexoGurukul, 2014 talks on ink, plates, tape and anilox rolls is to illustrate the tremendous variability in materials that we have to control and why we have to have controls in place, if we expect predictable, repeatable and productive results.
In October, 2014, I'll delve into controlling the two main types of color reproduction in the pressroom: spot color and process color. We will learn ink formulation, working off surplus inks, documentation of important variables through the workflow, including for four-color process printing and create color standards.
In 2015, the final two sessions will be held and we'll cover topics such as: the flexo workflow, fingerprinting and characterizing a flexo press.
