A day after the son of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed was killed in an encounter with UP Police Special Task Force, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the BJP is doing encounters with the 2024 General Elections in mind. “Today, the Constitution is in danger. Institutions are being destroyed one by one. BJP is doing encounters keeping elections in mind. Why does UP Police have the maximum number of notices regarding fake encounters,” said Akhilesh Yadav on April 14.
