Victor Rodriguez, originally from Venezuela, started to travel by foot from his home country to the United States on March 13th, making a trip that lasted 36 days to cross the border with Mexico to seek asylum on American soil. After he was released from a detention center in Del Rio on Wednesday, April 20th in Texas where he was processed by US immigration authorities, Rodriguez took the service offered by Governor Greg Abbott for undocumented migrants who wish to travel from Texas to Washington, D.C.
