Ukraine is ready for a prisoner swap with Moscow, to secure the release of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko.
That's according to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Speaking at a news conference in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday, March 9, Poroshenko said a prisoner swap was a realistic possibility.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko: "If you are asking me whether a swap would be possible, I would like to say for the first time, as the president of Ukraine, using my constitutional rights, yes, it is possible. I am ready to swap so Nadia Savchenko can come home."
