Gunmen stormed a religious gathering of Sikhs in their place of worship in the heart of the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday, killing at least eleven people. Afghanistan's interior ministry said that police were at the place of worship, and firing was still underway. No one has taken responsibility for the attack, but earlier this month an Islamic State affiliate attacked a gathering of minority Shiite Muslims in Kabul, the capital, killing 32 people. Describing the incident as a 'cowardly attack', the Ministry of External Affairs said all possible assistance will be extended to the affected families of the Hindu and Sikh community of Afghanistan.
