If you work in highly figured hardwoods, exotics, phenolics or other dense materials, Ultra-Shear 3-Flute Slow Spiral bits are just what you're looking for. They handle super-hard material better, cutting cleaner with less burning and less feed resistance. We make 1/2" diameter 3-Flute Slow Spiral Bits in Up-Cut and Down-Cut versions with cutting lengths of 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2". For best results, always use the shortest cut length that will accomplish the job at hand.
