In the event your teenager doesn't want to visit the other parent on their scheduled visitation, you still have the obligation to make them go. Your child is not allowed to make that decision until they are 18 years old. If there is some other reason as far as their safety is concerned, you can request an emergency hearing in front of a judge and state your reasons as to why you feel visitation should or should not continue. Keep in mind, it is still up to the judge whether or not the court will agree with you and stop or continue visitation. Your child may be given the right to speak for themselves at this hearing and the judge will ultimately take that into consideration when deciding the outcome of your case.
