What to consider when buying (or replacing) your golf club grips
[ Ссылка ]
In this golf tips video we review the importance of using good golf grips that are compatible with your golf game and hand sizes. Unfortunately golfers don’t change their grips often enough, leading to less than ideal feel in their golf clubs and poor performance in all weather, especially when it rains.
Golfers should consider the many features of a golf grip, such as the size (small, regular, oversize, jumbo), the tackiness, the profile (wedge or parallel) and the possibility for inserts such as cord or a ribbed align band. They should consider sizing up if they tend to miss golf shots to the left (push, hook), as that might be indicative of grips that are too small. Conversely, golfers that miss to the right (push, slices) could consider grips that are smaller in size as that might encourage faster release of the hands at impact.
Whatever you choose to get as your next grips, don’t hold onto them for too long. Golf clubs can only feel as good as the grips you put on them. Replacing old grips with new ones will make your entire set of golf clubs feel like new again, for a fraction of the price.
Good grip manufacturers to consider are Golf Pride, Winn and Superstroke. Models to consider are Tour Velvet, Tour Wrap, CP2, MCC, Dri-Tac and Taxion, to name a few.
