In the third episode in the rider diary series, Elia, George and Alex continue on the roller coaster ride that is life at the Giro, including a magnificent stage win for Alex.

We pick up with the riders on stage 6, a flat, fast sprint day that is made for Elia. We hear his approach to the stage, and his reaction at narrowly missing out on the stage win.

Stage 7 is an epic stage, the latter stages of which were run in torrential rain. George Bennett of Radioshack goes through the full spectrum of emotions - excited at what's in store for a climber such as himself, to rock bottom at just how unforgiving the race is proving to be.

Finally, we come to stage 8 and the Individual Time Trial - the one day in this years race where Alex Dowsett can ride for himself - and ride he does! We are with him all the way, including the nail biting two hours he waits in the "Hotseat" to learn if he has done enough to win a stage of his first Grand Tour.
