Germany wants to make it simpler and faster to deport rejected asylum seekers or migrants who don’t have a right to stay - especially if they have committed a crime or are people smugglers. The government, the federal cabinet, gave the green light for a draft law today, that will make searches by police easier, and they will allow a longer detention time to give authorities more time to prepare a deportation. "Anyone who doesn’t have the right to stay in Germany must leave our country," Interior Minister Faeser said.
