The Ram-Air Air Filter upgrade on the Audi TT Mk1 will derestrict air flow to the turbo intake pipe (TIP) but at what cost?
There is a very flimsy heat shield around the filter that is supposedly protecting it from the engine heat. I am pretty sure hot Air can flow over that!
So i think it is a pretty useless invention.
What would be better? Well, I think removing your side mount intercoolers and replacing with a Front Mount intercooler would free up space in the front passenger wing and the air intake could be placed there instead. Nice fresh air. I am going to cover this in a longer video so check back on the channel for that.
