(22 May 2016) French Prime Minister Manuel Valls on Sunday laid a wreath at the memorial to former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in Tel Aviv.
Rabin was assassinated by a Jewish extremist in 1995.
On Sunday, Valls was greeted by Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai.
The French PM is expected to meet Israel's former President Shimon Peres later.
Peres won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994 following the signing of the Oslo peace accords with the Palestinians a year earlier, a prize he shared with Rabin, and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
