Palmer Woods Mtb trail | Leelanau County, MI. We were encouraged to explore the Newest Un-Mapped trails being built in the park (Chaga, Lion's Mane, and Turkey Tail) . See my other videos showcasing Beech Drops, Swallow Tail, and others. We made sure not to disturb the trail crew, luckily there was a sign to guide us around the construction zone and back to the Chaga Hub. While the sign posts had temp maps #’s and names, at the time of this video posting, Trailforks was lacking details.

This park has become a favorite during our annual fall bike trips, with an abundance of green and blue level trails. Palmer Woods is Leelanau Conservancy’s largest property (1,075 acres), and the Conservancy’s only property that allows mountain biking. There is abundant parking, changing stations, out houses, bike repair stand, and a group gathering areas. The park is not too far from Traverse City or Sutton's Bay, and boarders the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
* I do not think there is any water available onsite, so bring extra.
