Priyanka Chaturvedi, the Member of Parliament and prominent figure in Shiv Sena (UBT), has highlighted that despite the people of Manipur opting not to elect the Congress party, the Modi government has failed to restore tranquility in the state. Chaturvedi emphasized that while the electorate consciously chose an alternative to Congress, Prime Minister Modi's administration struggled to establish a sense of harmony in Manipur. She pointed out the insensitivity of the state's Chief Minister in exacerbating the situation. Chaturvedi remarked, "Throughout the tenure of the central government led by Modi, Manipur bore witness to a tumultuous period spanning 100 days, marked by instances of sexual assaults against women, further exacerbating divisions within the community." Additionally, Chaturvedi observed that Prime Minister Modi seemed perturbed by the consolidated front of opposition parties uniting in solidarity.
