Did you know that fallen arches, or flat feet, is most likely linked to a muscular imbalance of the intrinsic (deep) foot muscles. When the posterior tibial tendon, which is the main arch-supporting tendon, starts to become weak, the foot begins to flatten.
Here, I am performing an arch activation exercise. Think about pushing the outer edge of the heel in to the floor, then simultaneously push the underside of the big toe knuckle down in to the floor and drag it backwards towards the heel.
Perform 10-15 repetitions with a 3 second hold on each side
