Indonesia's world-renowned Komodo Island will be officially closed to the public from January 2020. It's all in the name of rehabilitation and protecting the Komodo dragons. The one-year closure is aimed at restocking the creature's food supply in efforts to prevent its extinction. There are only about 6,000 Komodo dragons left in the wild and only 350 breeding females left. The Indonesian government will provide $7.17 million for the island's rehabilitation.
