Ingredients
Nethili Meen - 500 gm
Gingly oil - 50 gm
Mustard, Cumin seeds, Fenugreek, Pepper, red chilli) - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Garlic cloves - 10
Onion - 1 big ( sliced)
Tomato (blend it as puree) - 3
Green chilli - 3
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Preparation for Anchovies Fish Gravy
First we have to soak fish in water 10 minutes (add salt and turmeric)
Clean fish 3 times.
Take a plate add salt turmeric, chilli powder and lemon mix well.
Now add fish in that mixture mix well soak it for 10 minutes.
Take a kadai add gingly oil.
Oil heats add Mustard, Cumin seeds, Fenugreek, Pepper red chilli let splutter.
Now add garlic cloves saute it.
Add sliced onions saute well until softness.
Add curry leaves and green chilli.
Add tomato puree mix well and close the lid cook for 15 minutes in low flame.
Now open the lid and check oil seperate.
Now add 1/2 cup water allow to boil until gravy thickness.
Now take a tawa add 2 tsp oil.
Add soaked anchovies fish let fry both sides 2 minutes. (flip over gently).
Now gravy thickness add fried anchovies fish and mix gently.
Finally add coriander leaves and pepper powder and close the lid for 5 minutes. (make sure flame should be in low)
Switch off flame. Don't open for another 5 minutes.
Now yummy Anchovies fish Gravy is ready.
It is good combo for Rice, Chapati, Dhosa, Idly.
